Caro Francesco, mio nonno Giuseppe essere nato a Spezzano Albanese, emigrato a Brazile, e credo chi tuo padre Luigi e mio nonno erano parenti. Sono discendenti di Ferdinando Amato coniugi con Rosina Cerchiaro. Questi nomi sono famigliare a te?

I have a reproduction of La Bambolaccia. My mother bought it over 40 years ago. She has passed away and it has come into my possession. I would like to get any information that I can on the painting. Were there many reproductions made and what is the story behind the painting. The child looks so concerned. Thank you for any help you can give me on this. I would like to print up a paper on it to keep with the painting for the next generation of our family. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I also have a copy of la bambolaccia..how many copies of this painting exist. Mine is in excellent condition, and it looks like an original. Is it worth anything.

I too have la bambolaccia, but it is NOT an oil painting it is a print. So I wonder IF it has any value at all, have done research on original paintings vs prints and my searching said it would depend of how many prints were made, but I don’t want to remove the print from the 1960’s frame that it is in. I purchased it in 2003 for 20.00 at an antique store, just something about it “spoke” to me that I had to have it. My daughter to this day calls it the creepy girl & does not want me to hang it in the spare bedroom that she uses when she comes to visit. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I have La Bambolaccia,, and you know? there is not much info on it. I am not a fine art expert, but It is a vintage print from the 60s. And the small child? she “creeped” out my cable guy. I think it is beautiful, the doll looks alive. I am not sure of the value? I doubt it is that significant. But the original work on here is beautiful!.

I also have La Bambolaccia..it was my grandparent’s and I got it when my grandpa passed away…It has been in my family for a long time..I don’t remember it not being around and I am 53 years old..I love it!! it kinda creeped me out when I was a kid tho but, it grows on you
